How Daily Keno Works
Daily Keno is a lottery game operated by the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG). In each draw, 20 numbers are randomly selected from a pool of 1 to 70. Players choose how many numbers they want to play — anywhere from 2 (a 2-PICK) up to 10 (a 10-PICK) — and then select their numbers from the same 1–70 range. The format is similar to Greece KINO, which draws 20 from 80.
If your chosen numbers match numbers in the draw, you win a prize. The more numbers you match, the larger the payout. Prize amounts also depend on your bet size ($1, $2, $5, or $10) and your pick category.
An optional add-on called Encore costs $1 extra and gives you a random 7-digit number. Matching all seven digits in exact order pays up to $1 million.
How to Play Daily Keno
- Choose your pick category — decide how many numbers you want to play (2-PICK through 10-PICK).
- Select your numbers — pick your numbers from 1 to 70, or choose Quick Pick to let the terminal generate random numbers for you.
- Set your bet — choose $1, $2, $5, or $10 per play. Higher bets mean proportionally higher prizes.
- Choose your draw — select Midday, Evening, or both. You can also use Advance Play to enter up to 10 consecutive draws.
- Add Encore (optional) — for $1 more, get a chance at an additional prize of up to $1 million.
- Purchase your ticket — buy at any authorized OLG retailer or online through OLG.ca.
Daily Keno Draw Schedule
Daily Keno has two draws every day, seven days a week, including holidays:
- Midday draw — approximately 2:00 PM Eastern Time
- Evening draw — approximately 10:30 PM Eastern Time
Tickets purchased before 2:00 PM are valid for the Midday draw. Tickets purchased after 2:00 PM are valid for the Evening draw. Tickets purchased after 10:30 PM are valid for the next day's Midday draw.
Daily Keno Numbers and Format
Each Daily Keno draw selects 20 winning numbers from a pool of 1 to 70. Players do not need to match all 20 — they match against only the numbers they selected in their pick category.
For example, a 10-PICK player chooses 10 numbers and wins by matching some or all of them against the 20 drawn. A 2-PICK player chooses just 2 numbers and needs to match both to win the top prize for that category.
Daily Keno Prizes and Payouts
Prizes depend on three factors: your pick category (how many numbers you chose), your bet amount, and how many of your numbers match the 20 drawn.
- 10-PICK, $10 bet, all 10 matched — top prize of $2,500,000
- 10-PICK, $1 bet, all 10 matched — $250,000
- 10-PICK, $1 bet, 9 matched — $5,000
- 10-PICK, $1 bet, 0 matched — $2 (yes, matching zero on a 10-PICK also pays)
Smaller pick categories have lower top prizes but better odds. A 2-PICK with a $1 bet pays $13 for matching both numbers. Prize values scale linearly with the bet amount — a $5 bet pays 5× the $1 prize.
Prizes up to $999.90 can be claimed at any OLG retailer. Prizes of $1,000 or more require a Lottery Prize Claim Declaration Form.

Daily Keno Odds
Odds of winning vary by pick category. The more numbers you choose, the harder it is to match all of them — but partial matches still pay.
- 10-PICK top prize — 1 in 2,147,181
- 10-PICK any prize — approximately 1 in 9
- 2-PICK top prize — 1 in 13.5
Daily Keno uses random number generation. Each draw is independent — past results have no mathematical influence on future draws. The overall probability of winning any prize on a 10-PICK is roughly 1 in 9, making it one of the more frequent-payout lottery formats. You can explore observed frequency patterns in the statistics sections above.
What to Know Before Playing
- No system guarantees wins. Daily Keno is a game of chance. Frequency patterns are observational, not predictive.
- Set a budget. Treat lottery play as entertainment. Only spend what you can afford to lose.
- Smaller picks have better odds. A 2-PICK has much better odds of winning than a 10-PICK, though the prizes are smaller.
- Sign your ticket. Physical tickets should be signed immediately after purchase for protection.
- Check results promptly. Prizes expire 12 months after the draw date.
- Statistics are for reference. DrawInsights provides frequency analysis as a research tool. Check the latest results and trends above for current patterns — but past patterns do not predict future outcomes.
