How to play Pick 4
Choose four digits, each from 0 to 9. The same digit may be used more than once. Per OLG, a play costs $1, and there are two ways to match:
- Straight play β your digits must match the drawn sequence in exact order to win the $5,000 Top Prize.
- Box play β your digits match in any order; the digits you select determine whether the 4-way, 6-way, 12-way or 24-way Box applies.

There are exactly 10,000 possible sequences (0000β9999) and each is equally likely in every draw. These figures are fixed mathematics, not estimates.
Why order changes everything here
Most lotteries on this site draw a set: six unique balls where order carries no information. Pick 4 is the opposite β an ordered sequence where position is the whole game. That has three practical consequences:
- 4-2-0-0 β 0-0-2-4. The same four digits in a different order are a different Straight result.
- Repeats are normal. Each position is drawn independently, so pairs, triples and even quads occur at exactly predictable rates.
- Zero is a digit. The range is 0β9, and leading or trailing zeros count like any other digit β the July 26, 2026 evening draw ended 0-0.
This is why our Pick 4 statistics are computed per position β which digit lands in slot 1 through slot 4 β rather than as one global frequency list.

OLG holds two Pick 4 draws every day: a Midday draw at 2:00 PM Eastern Time and an Evening draw at 10:30 PM Eastern Time.
What are the odds of winning Pick 4 with a Straight play?
A Straight play matches the four digits in exact drawn order. There are 10,000 possible sequences (0000 through 9999), so the odds are 1 in 10,000 β identical for every sequence, every draw.
How much does Pick 4 pay for a Straight win?
Per OLG, a $1 Straight play that matches the exact drawn order wins the $5,000 Top Prize. Box plays pay smaller fixed amounts depending on whether the 4-way, 6-way, 12-way or 24-way Box applies β see OLG's odds and payouts for the full table.
Can the same digit be drawn more than once in Pick 4?
Yes β each of the four positions is drawn independently from 0β9. On July 26, 2026 the evening draw was 4-2-0-0: a repeated digit, and a zero, in one perfectly ordinary result.
